My BLog

Old and New

It is May 2012, a year and a bit after we filmed our first scenes for the old movie's teaser, and I have finally managed to cut and upload my team members' memories of working on the project.
Some things just take a bit longer, especially if they evoke(d) such strong emotional responses in me. This is the last work I have done as part of that old project.
Because now it is time to completely direct my creativity at new film projects and for one, I can say that some truly creative students have enrolled in my Writing for Film & TV class - even if writing (and speaking) in English may still be an obstacle for them.
We have taped two audio versions of the same "Special Events Coverage" which you can watch here and here. Also, one team came up with a great idea for a PSA which - time permitting - I definitely want to produce because it is so absolutely funny.*
To be creative is such a wonderful feeling and - talking about old and new - if you focus on the old, you will limit yourself and your creative expressions eventually. Seek new challenges, be inspired, invest time and energy into new projects. Make them happen. Regardless of how many people will eventually appreciate your work, YOU will - because you MOVED.
So here is film three that I cut in the last two weeks for a friend and another friend.
High on creative energy, I guess. Or just balancing what is repetitive, bureaucratic, annoying, uninspiring, missing ...
See you out there. Happy Day of Beaming (Himmelfahrtstag)!

*...and - surprise! - here it is, slightly changed, but only made of an idea, some pictures, and music; produced in cooperation with Sina and Svenja.
